Inspect the PTO switch: Examine the PTO switch for any signs of damage, such as loose wires or corrosion. Clean or replace the switch if necessary. Sep 7, 2017 · Another good test to isolate the key switch/harness wiring from the battery/starter system is to jump the solenoid to engage the starter. Do this: 1) Disconnect small solenoid wire from the starter. 2) turn key to run position. 3) using a conductor, jump the starter motor battery terminal to the solenoid terminal. Report to Moderator.
